Manipulator Arm: The single function manipulator with open/close claw makes your ROV more than just an underwater eye. Pick up light weight samples from the ocean floor, bring a line down to mark a wreck, or carry an acoustic beacon to a dive site. The arm is constructed of corrosive proof PVC. A switch on the top-side control box opens or closes the claw.

Side Cameras:

Two color side cameras, with LED lighting, can be attached to the SeaLion-2.Operator can individually view each of the four cameras. Side Cameras can be manually adjusted to view straight out or angled upward/downward.

 

Video text overlay:

The Video Text Overlay option allows a PS/2 keyboard (included) to be connected to the SeaLion control box. Data input at the keyboard is displayed on the screen. The text overlay will be recorded if the video is being recorded. The video overlay and the OSD data will be recorded.

 

 

Auto Depth: This option allows the operator to keep the SeaLion-2 at a constant depth as measured from the surface. Very useful to hold the ROV’s depth in the water column. This option requires the above “Basic on-screen display” option and the “Additional sensors” package of compass, depth, and temperature.                                                                                                

Distance off bottom displayed :The distance between the ROV and the ocean bottom is dis-played on the video monitor. This option requires the above “Basic on-screen dis-play” and “Distance- off-Bottom” sensor package.

 

DVR digital video recorder (internal/external):

The DVR option allows recording of video from the SeaLion’s cameras to a SD card which holds 12+ hours of video. The recorded video (which also includes any recorded audio) can then be played back on the ROV’s monitor or on any other video monitor. The SD card is removable and can input into the USB jack on a computer. The video can be viewed on the computer. If the On- Screen-Display option is installed on the ROV, the video overlay will also be recorded on the DVR.

Scanning Sonar:

A scanning sonar that mounts on top of a ROV and provides a sonar image displayed on a laptop or tablet. Sonar allows the operator to see objects well beyond camera range and operates in zero visibility.

 

 

 

RMD-1 Metal detector:

The RMD-1 metal detector attaches to any ROV and makes it a roving metal detector. Find buried pipes, cables, anchors, tools, etc., quickly and easily.

CMS-1,2 Cable Management System:

The Cable Management Systems are cable reels with slip rings which allow complete operation of the system while deploying or retrieving cable. CMS-1 cable reel holds 250 feet of ROV cable and is housed in a Pelican 1620 case. The CMS-2 cable reel holds 1,000 feet of ROV cable and is housed in a Pelican 1660 case. Both cases come with wheels and a retractable handle for ease of transportation and storage.
